Breakfast ???

This is definitely not appropriate breakfast food, but it sure tastes sugary delicious!
Thai Fairy Floss wrapped in pancake. Yumm!!!
My teeth are aching and my tummy is rumbling just thinking about it :-)
Fairy floss comes in a selection of colour ways including white and pink.
:-)

This was part of our breakfast on our first full day in Bangkok. We (Gay, Jamie, Mummy, Goong, Gertrude and I) crowded around the small table in Gay & Jamie's room, stuffing ourselves with delicious local delicacies including mango and sticky rice, chompu, and this other yummy stuff wrapped in green leaves with toasted coconut, peanuts and the yummiest sauce ever :-)

Why can't all supermarkets be like this....

The baked goods section...

Mangoes!!!!! Yummmmmm!!!

Durian.... :-(  Dislike...
I had a taste because I'd only ever smelt it before.
My stomach was upset for 12 hours after the tiniest sample.... blurgh....
So not only does it stink it tastes disgusting too...
And yet there are people out there who love the stuff...

Oils, oils and more oils as modeled by Gay :-)

Shopping at Chatuchak Market - Bangkok

The Chatuchak Market is 23 acres of shopping heaven. Or craziness if you will.
Get in early because by midday the place is getting crowded, the sun is overhead and it's ridiculously hot.
Keep hydrated with 10baht bottles of water... that's less than 30cents! Crazy!

Silks at Chatuchak
Sounds at Chatuchak
Interesting shop names at Chatuchak
All in a hard and hot days shopping.

Before the Rain Came - Phuket Thailand

One of the higher points on Phuket island Thailand....
The crowds had cleared out because the rain was coming.
We stayed around to take in the spectical.
This is Gay in photographer mode.

There is a place to make offerings to Buddha here and surrounding this place are hundreds of elephant sculptures...
